THIS WEEK'S FEATURED ARTIST: THE LAST SHADOW PUPPETS
THE LAST SHADOW PUPPETS are Alex Turner (from Arctic Monkeys) and Miles Kane (from The Rascals); THE AGE OF THE UNDERSTATEMENT is an album of 12 full-blooded songs, bold and brassy, full of drama, wit and melody, recorded in France by the young duo. These songs were then boldly underscored by Owen Pallett, who conducted and recorded arrangements for each track with the 22-piece London Metropolitan Orchestra -- the result is an album that sounds classic and yet is instantly timeless. Check out a few tracks in our pop-up jukebox at www.recordarchive.com.

Giveaways: The Spill Canvas
So there's this pretty sweet band called The Spill Canvas. They've been around in some smaller circles for a couple years playing some pretty sweet pop-punk-y rock 'n roll. Well, if you come into the Archive and pick up their latest album, "No Really, I'm Fine", then we've got some a really sweet "college only" poster to give you. But you gotta hurry, because supplies are limited. So don't drag your feet, or you'll be out of luck (trust me, you'll want one of these posters).
TOYS!
We just got a brand new shipment of toys in that you're going to love. Check em out!
LIVE SHOW: MOOSE MURDERS (ft Dick Storms)
Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 7pm, the Moose Murders cast (featuring Dick Storms aka Record Man) will be performing newly composed songs for Moose Murders live on The Archive stage. The Rochester production of Moose Murders (arguably the worst play to ever be performed on Broadway) was written up in the NY Times & The International Herald Tribune (read). Don't miss this unique opportunity. The show will be heading to NYC August 9th & 10th.
