'It felt like those stories where a person sets out from their village, ties a sack on a stick and sets off to experience the world and then comes back home,' says REGINA SPEKTOR, talking about the adventure she embraced making her dazzling new album FAR. The journey saw the New Yorker striking new, creatively rich partnerships with three inventive producers: Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Eminem), Jeff Lynne (ELO, Traveling Wilburys) and Garrett 'Jackknife' Lee (R.E.M., Weezer), as well as was her homecoming with David Kahne (Paul McCartney, the Strokes), who produced Spektor's previous release, Begin to Hope.

Current Gallery Show: Fright Rags
.jpg)
Horror Movie Night at Record Archive, the First Fridays opening night reception for a month long exhibit of the t-shirts of Fright Rags (which has been featured on 30 Rock, as worn by Judah Friedlander) and the artwork of the artist for some of the most famous shirts, Jeff Zornow. Aside from helping make Fright Rags the horror t shirt powerhouse that they are, Zornow is an accomplished artist, more recently drawing the 'Halloween;Death of Laurie Strode' comic book series.
In addition to the fantastic artistry, we will have awesome giveaways from Troma Entertainment (famous for giving us The Toxic Avenger), Rue Morgue Magazine and VHSPS.com! Rochester?s own Low Budget Pictures will be there to sell their flicks and the artwork of Zornow will be for sale, along with Fright Rags t shirts! Not to mention awesome horror memorabilia and autographed pics of your favorite horror stars will be up for auction, courtesy of Re-Evolution management. Last but not least, there will be a screen set up playing Creepshow andZombie (the films that inspired the most popular Fright Rags shirts) and an old awesome documentary from 1985, Fangorias Weekend of Horrors! We want to show you what a convention is like, so this will be like a mini-con for those who have never been to one! Come out and support local businesses Record Archive and Fright Rags! Plus meet the master that is Jeff Zornow, who?s coming all the way from Brooklyn for the event!
