So Lon told me not to talk about my vacation last week and how disappointed I was in the weather so I won't....

I will talk about how great it is to go away, leaving the day to day routine behind for a minute. How wonderful it is to see family you actually like and wish you lived to closer to! And how even though I had to climb over boxes to get to my desk today , I am happy to be back at the store. Thrilled that my staff once again rose to the occasion of handling things while I was away. They think I don't notice or appreciate all that they do but they are mistaken.  Record Archive runs like a well oiled machine ( for the most part!) and I couldn't be more pleased. My crew celebrated my long time business partner Dick Storms aka" Record Man 's" 65th Birthday , a huge store wide sale and even a bird flying in and deciding to stay for 2 days!! All this while I was hoping to see 80 degrees in Northwest Florida... Thanks everyone for doing a great job while I was away!

Now its time to kick into high gear to get all the details in place for RECORD STORE DAY 2011!! Mark your calendars for Sat. April 16- all day- for food, music, treats and an amazing list of special items made just for us indies that day!!!
